I had passed by this restaurant on the way out of Publika several times, and for the split few seconds taking notice of its name, I wondered what food they served…but never really got the gear on to visit it….until my friend brought me there after sharing all his good indian food foodieventure experiences there….and no regrets then on! I’ve just learnt that the original outlet, known as Fierce is in Bangsar and this sister outlet is supposedly most upclass with a few new additions to its menu.
The contemporary decor and music, and their bar section did not really match the feel of indian food, rather more of western or fusion. And the menu came in a binded plastic laminated form, which did not appear to match its ambience. Nonetheless, all those didn’t matter as the food was mindblowingly amazing!
This spicylicious ladyfingers with potatoes was so flavourful and nicely cooked, not overly softened. Perfect with naan! Oh ya, full of wok hei too!
The grilled chunks of goat’s cheese (yes, it was a little guilty having too many pieces of ’em!) but it tasted so much more like tofu than cheese. Nicely done! The ooopph factor was even more, once the butter chicken gravy was added in.
The butter chicken was cooked with tender chicken fillet chunks, and the gravy was amazing..if not for my conscience telling me at the back of my mind of the amount of ghee used to make the gravy, i would have licked the bowl clean!
The naans here were amazing to me too! Thin, crunchy yet retained slight fluffiness, nice aroma of the burnt edges, yums yums yums!
The estimated cost for naan and 2-3 dishes for 2-3 pax, would be about RM50-60. Quite decently priced for such good quality food. Worthy visit for those who want affordably priced indian food but taste awesome as well! I will surely be back again for more Fiercer foodieventures! FIERCE THUMBS UP TO YOU!
